TIM SCOTT BOLTON
Born in Shropshire in 1947, Tim Scott Bolton gained a degree in Estate Management from London University but since 1984 has been a full-time artist.
He and his wife, Tricia, lived in Kenya for a few years and after leaving bought a farm in Wiltshire which they run organically. In their redundant farm buildings they opened the Summerleaze Gallery where exhibitions, courses and lectures are now held.
He travels extensively to paint and apart from Africa, India and the Middle East, the United States and Europe are common destinations. He has twice been artist in residence at the Garsington Opera and in 2016 did a number of events to celebrate the Capability Brown tercentenary, about whom he wrote and illustrated A Brush With Brown.
In 2017 Tim went with the then Prince of Wales to Europe as Royal tour artist and in 2021 accompanied His Royal Highness to Jordan and Egypt. He has had a number of solo shows in London at the Malcolm Innes, Tryon and Mathaf galleries, Fine Art Commissions and Indar Pasricha Fine Arts. He has also shown at the Grosvenor House and the Royal Geographical Society.
