We are delighted to announce the publication of Rupe Attwood's A Century of the Art of Making Fishing Reels - A History of J.W.Young. This is the long-awaited, completely redesigned, updated and enlarged edition of this popular book, with over three hundred pages and many new reels and chapters. Fully illustrated in colour throughout, chapters include the history of the company, all the reels from 1894 to 1971, centre-pins from 1984-2001, prototypes and specials, the Ambidex, the Aerial, leather reel cases, catalogues and appendices.

New for this 2020 edition are sections on Young's reel cases and boxes, modern centre-pin reels from the date Young's were taken over by Shakespeare in 1984 through to 2001, the highly sought after micro-reels and Young's catalogues. Also included are 24 additional original reels and more reel blueprints.
