Some of it Was Fun
Hugh Falkus
In 1965, Hugh Falkus wrote The Stolen Years, and his plan was that it was the first in a trilogy. He worked on the second manuscript from time to time, but sadly, the books never materialised and were largely forgotten. Some of it was Fun is certainly part, if not all, of that ‘lost’ manuscript. The rediscovery of this text gives us all the chance to enjoy a previously unpublished selection of Falkus’s writing. The book is published as a hardback with dust-jacket, or a special edition quarter-bound in salmon skin. Beautifully illustrated by Scott Adkins.
'Few fishing books have the quality of writing, literary background and dramatic description based on profound knowledge of nature that this book has . . . I was intrigued by the book title, Some of it was Fun, and Fred Buller tells me that it was a title chosen by the author. A glimpse into the life and soul of Hugh Falkus.' - Kenneth Robson, The Flyfishers Journal
