It is not often that today's angler has the opportunity to read at first hand an original angling manuscript from 1843. In this, the only printed facsimile of a nineteenth century angling manuscript, the author describes in great details Britain's freshwater fish, and the methods he used to catch them.
This edition is faithfully reproduced as a perfect facsimile of the original, and is beautifully illustrated with over forty pages of finely detailed watercolour paintings of fish, flies and deadbaits. The book is bound in black leather with headbands, hand coloured heads, and gold and blind embossing. Each volume is accompanied by a transcript, and both are issued in a black slip-case.
